1. Pre-Entry & Bridge Pathways

Because Kind Learning Academy operates as a social enterprise rather than a formal college, they provide “low-pressure” learning that bridges the gap for those not yet ready for accredited courses:

Conversational ESOL: These are non-accredited sessions that don’t require previous qualifications or assessments. They focus on the practical English needed for the doctor’s office, schools, or shopping.

Sector-Specific Language Support: If you are interested in a specific job but lack the language level, they offer vocabulary support for Care Work and the Catering Sector.

The “Kind Kitchen” (ESOL+): This is a practical learning model where learners develop English skills through cooking and community meals. It is ideal for learners who struggle with traditional classroom settings.

Exam Support: For those aiming for residency or employment, they provide informal study groups for the B1 English, Life in the UK, and Driving Theory tests.

Community Interpreting (Level 2): In partnership with the WEA, they host interpreting courses. While this is a qualification, it is specifically designed as an entry point for bilingual community members to gain their first professional certificate.

Preston (Deepdale): Catherine Beckett Centre (Wednesdays 9:30 am – 12:30 pm & Thursdays 10:00 am – 1:00 pm).

Leyland: Halls 4 All (Thursdays 10:00 am – 1:00 pm).
