Response to Requirement: Course Delivery and Compliance with Qualification Specifications
To demonstrate our clear commitment to this requirement, our Centre will execute the following operational policies to ensure all courses are delivered in strict accordance with the definitive qualification specifications and documentation:
- Curriculum Mapping and Alignment
- Standardised Assessment Administration
- Specification Monitoring and Change Management
- Staff Briefing and Continuous Training
- Robust Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)
1. Curriculum Mapping and Alignment
We will conduct a systematic audit of all online lesson plans, schemes of work, and learning materials to map them directly against the learning outcomes and assessment criteria set by the awarding body.
We will guarantee level-appropriate delivery by strictly aligning our instructional content with the specific language parameters, vocabulary ranges, and grammatical structures mandated for each ESOL level.
2. Standardised Assessment Administration
We will administer all formative, diagnostic, and summative assessments in absolute compliance with the guidelines laid out in the official qualification handbooks.
We will replicate the required controlled exam conditions remotely via Microsoft Teams, strictly enforcing all mandated time limits, invigilation rules, and environmental security procedures during live assessments.
3. Specification Monitoring and Change Management
We will assign a dedicated quality officer to systematically monitor the awarding body’s portals and communications for any updates, amendments, or version changes to the definitive qualification specifications.
We will establish a swift update procedure where any changes to assessment criteria, exam formats, or curriculum requirements are immediately integrated into our online schemes of work.
We will communicate these documentation updates to the wider team through urgent briefing notes, ensuring that all online delivery and live testing instantly adapt to the newest regulatory standards.
4. Staff Briefing and Continuous Training
We will provide all teaching staff and assessors with immediate access to the most up-to-date versions of the definitive qualification specifications, sample assessment materials, and grading criteria.
We will run mandatory internal standardisation meetings for our educators to ensure consistent delivery and uniform application of the marking standards across all online classes.
5. Robust Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)
We will implement a regular sampling schedule where internal quality assurers review digital portfolios, student work, and recorded Microsoft Teams assessments to verify grading accuracy.
We will maintain organized, audit-ready digital records of all course delivery logs, tracking sheets, and student evidence to demonstrate total compliance during external quality assurance (EQA) reviews.
